TODAYY WE WENT FOR 4WD YAYYSIES. we departed Westport in the morning and it was a tad bit drizzling and my mum had headaches ): but we went for 4WD anw cos driving is like chen da shu shu’s absolute passion. one of his passions at least haha (: so basically he and my dad went in to the information counter and cos they wanted to buy a map of the 4WD area just in case we got lost and like died and rotted in there, then took a map and put in on the counter, then wen the guy scanned it they realized that it was like 13.50 bucks when the two of them smartily though that it was 3.50. uber ownage man.
then we started driving in and reached a lake first, Lake Rotoroa. prettaye prettaye prettaye (: if Singapore had like 1/100th of the scenary here we wouldn’t need to build dumb casinos rawr. ANW. we drove into the REAL 4WD (but still the mild one cos our car is not the special kind of 4WD car that can like go through EVERYTHING) and went up and up and up and up and all the sharp turns on the mountain etc and our asses were so sore and shaken everyone was scratching LOL. like hello its not my fault the entire road is full of moving pebbles and stones and twigs and branches and stuffums like that. the uber pro part is that we got lost. no surprise there with two pro map readers on the car and two totally direction-less people and one very indignant and obsessed with watching prison break on the car person. cos we reached this split road and the problem was that there were two signs pointing to each of the split roads and it both said PRIVATE ROADS. like okay honey you cant expect me to drive DOWN the mountain vertically right sheesh. so we picked the one on the left cos three of us felt that it was the ‘better’ road, but we cleverly reached a BIG FAT DEAD END after like half and hour?! rawr. so we drove ALL THE WAY BACK to square one and drove out. the entire journey up and down took like 2hours i think. applause us thankews.
we proceeded to Nelson where we were going to stay for the night, but we stopped over at Mapo to take some pictures (that was the plan at first but the entire place was so dead since it was Christmas eve we decided to give up). it had this small underwater world like the one in sentosa but they had much more SOPHISTICATED fishums yeppsies. then we drove to Nelson, from Lake Rotoroa to Nelson was like 70-80km? i dunno we’ve been traveling too much. We stopped at Rimu Grove where my dad and chen da shu shu bought six bottles of wine (2 pinot noir 2003 2 pinot noir 2004 2 chardonnay) and wondered WHERE THE HELL WE WERE GOING TO STICK THEM.
at night we had Christmas night dinner at this thai restaurant and it was nice and not expensive too. (new zealand’s food is uber ex. the cheapest meal we had was subway hahaha. no oops i mean the instant noodles we brought was the cheapest :D) ooh and chen da shu shu and yu jia ah yi bought me this uber round-and-fat-and-cute sheep with MEIMAOS for Christmas (: yayysies.
